Nine Emperor Gods Festival

Every year during the ninth month of the lunar calander, Devotees gathered with white clothings, paying homage to the Nine Emperor Gods in Singapore. One of the largest Chinese Religous festival in Singapore, as well as in parts of Southeast Asia. Dressed in white clothing and observed vegetarians, the devotees who prayed to Nine Emperor Gods, believes in prolonging one's life, eliminating calamities, and absolving sins. The 10 days celebration involved thousands of devotees. As the celebration reaches the ninth day of the ninth lunar month, devotees respectfully send off the Nine Emperor Gods, by the coastal of the sea, marking the end of the event.
